Today is the 51st annual March for Life.
There
is a lot of work to be done in this post Roe v. Wade era. Over 900,000
(American) babies are still being killed by abortion each year.
This year's theme highlights the need to focus on mother and baby:
"With every woman, for every child."
They
are laser-focused on mothers during their pregnancy (and for years
afterward), highlighting and celebrating the work of pregnancy centers
and maternity homes.
The march begins at 1:00 p.m. today on the National Mall and ends in front of the Supreme Court Building.
Sadly,
Michigan, enshrined abortion into our state constitution. This makes
for an even greater need to help and support mothers and their unborn
children. Naturally, fathers are not forgotten and their pain and
suffering is also recognized.
Women
continue to be sold a false narrative that their self-empowerment and
right to an abortion is more important than the life of their baby.
They are told abortion is healthcare.
No
matter their situational challenges, need for personal fulfillment, or
fears, there are many places for women to receive help in saving the
life of their baby.
There is hope for women who feel they have no choice but to abort.
For
post-abortive mothers, Rachel's Vineyard advocates for healing,
rebuilding and renewing men and women in need of restoration following
an abortion.
Please continue to pray for moms and dads and babies. Every life is precious in the eyes of God, and should be in ours as well.
In this LINK
for the theme's reveal, you can hear from three different speakers, one
of whom was trafficked most of her life and one who was an abortion
doctor. I encourage you to watch it, and the March, today. You should
be able to watch the march on EWTN, YouTube and Facebook.
